Ceramics

I discovered my love for ceramics in 2022 when I took my first ceramics course at Pratt Institute. Having previously worked only two-dimensionally, it felt freeing to create sculptural work. It was also nice to work in a medium that was foreign to me because it alleviated any pressure to create perfect objects. In 2023 I took my first wheel throwing class in Maine and have never looked back. I love creating art that is beautiful and functional. While I still have a lot to learn, I have grown more comfortable and more passionate about this craft and have chosen to document my work here and on instagram @jasmines.clay.
