Jasmine Lee McGranaghan - Contemporary Artist

Jasmine McGranaghan is a Korean-American painter currently based in Sarasota, Florida. She was raised in the  Philadelphia area and spent many summers in Coastal Maine. She completed a BFA at Pratt Institute with a Minor in Art History. She lived and worked in Brooklyn, New York, operating a home studio until 2025.

Her principal medium is oil but she also enjoys working in graphite, colored pencil, and clay. Her own film photography serves as the inspiration for the majority of her work. Her body of work questions how the tradition of realism can hold space in a digital world. Through portraiture, still lives, and abstraction, she explores transitional spaces within visual media and comments on outdated forms of artistic preservation.
